She did her B.A.LL.B (Integrated) from Padala Rama Reddi Law College, Osmania University. She was awarded gold medal for outstanding academic achievement. She did her LL.M – International Law and International Security from University of Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Apala Das is currently working as a Research Associate for the Centre for Aerospace and Defence Laws in the NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. She had joined the Centre in November, 2019.
